Arrival to Lisbon

The Airport of Lisbon, official named Aeroporto de Portela, located in the district of Portela de Sacavém circa 7 kilometers in the north of Lisbon and is the principal Airport of Portugal.

By Aerobus

The Aerobus is very simple and comfortable possibility to get to the city centre within 20 Minutes. There are two bus lines, which work all day:

Línea 1: Aeroporto – Cais do Sodré, From 07:00 till 23:20 o‘clock (every 20 min.), from 21:00 o’clock on (every 30 min.). Stops: Aeroporto, Entrecampos, Campo Pequeno, Avenida da República, Saldanha, Picoas, Fontes Pereira de Melo, Marquês de Pombal, Avenida da Liberdade, Restauradores, Rossio, Praça do Comércio, Cais do Sodré

Línea 2: Aeroporto – Avenida José Malhoa Sul, from 07:30 till 23:00 o‘clock (every 40 min.), from 20:00 o‘clock on (every hour). Stops: Aeroporto, Entrecampos, Sete Rios, Praça de Espanha, Avenida José Malhoa, Avenida José Malhoa (Sul)

Tickets: you can get the airport (turistic info point of Lisboa at the arrival terminal) and in the Aerobus 24-Hour-Ticket „Aerobus Pass“: valid in all lines of Aerobus for 24 hours: adult: 3,50€, children (4-10 years): 2€ Ticket Up&Down „ida-vuelta”: valid for 24 hours after every use, adults: 5,50 €, children (4-10 years): 3,00 €

By Bus

There are also Busses which connect the terminals and it´s gratis! You can also go by several bus lines of the company Carris, which connect the airport with the city center: Nº 705 – Estação do Oriente/Aeropuerto/Areeiro (Montag bis Freitag), Nº 722 – Pç. Londres/Aeropuerto/Portela R. Escritores, Nº 744 – Marquês Pombal/Aeropuerto/Moscavide – Qta. Laranjeiras, Nº 783 – Portela/Aeropuerto/Amoreiras (Montag bis Freitag)

If you will arrive at night, then you can use the bus Bus Nº 208 – Cais Sodré/Aeroporto/Estação Oriente, which works between 00.30 and 05.35 o´clock. You can get the ticket on the bus, it costs 1,80€. But before that you should buy a card from 7 Colinas or Viva Viagem (0,50€), because you will need it for the public transportation. If you have a 7 Colinas or Viva Viagem then the ticket will cost 1,40€.

By Taxi

At the exit and entrance of the terminal you will find the taxi portal, which is open for 24h. The charge will, of course, be depend on how long the way is, but in the city the price counted by the taximeter, in the countryside they count the price pro kilometer. The best would be of course if you ask the Taxi driver, because at night between 06.00 and 21.00 o´clock, at holidays or on the weekend they add 20% to the price.

By underground train

You can the red/pink line of underground train from the airport to the city centre, which will take you circa 20 minutes. The underground trains work between 06.30 and 01.00 o’clock. A ticket costs 1,40€ and is valid for 1h. But before that, you should buy a Card named 7 Collinas or Viva Viagem (costs 0,50€) and charge it.

By underground train

Lisbon has a very simple underground tain system with 4 lines. The red/pink one connects the airport with the city centre. The green and blue line will bring you to the beach and the yellow line brings you out of town.

By Bus

There are more then 150 bus lines of the company carris the bus 15E goes along the beach and the line 12E brings you around the city centre.
